Gaborone — Botswana finished on position two, thus scooping five gold, seven silver and five bronze medals at the Southern Region Senior Championships in Mauritius over the weekend.
Botswana was in an uncompromising mood in the men's 400m and scooped a gold medal through Gaone 'Lux' Maotoanong, who clocked 46:11 seconds. A silver medal in the same race through Sakarea Kamperuka (46:29 seconds) and Karabo Sibanda (46:79 seconds) won a bronze.
