Liberia: Ellen Defends Nyenswah's Appointment

President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has written the Liberian Senate defending the nomination of Tolbert Nyenswah as Deputy Health Minister-designate for Disease Surveillance and Epidemic Control.

In a communication to the Senate's Plenary recently, President Johnson-Sirleaf said her action is in keeping with an Act to Amend the New Executive Law that was approved on May 16, 1974, which provides for the appointment of more than one Deputy Ministers within a ministry.
