Nigeria: World Environment Day Lectures - UNEP, Setpom Reharsh Measures to Save Earth

With the transition into a new dispensation and the uncertainty about what is to come by way of policies and their implementation, the environment of Nigeria, Earth in the big picture, is also cloaked in ambivalence. Continuous gas flaring, un-recycled waste, tree felling without replanting and a general abuse of Earth's resources, are some of the reasons the Society for Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Mitigation, SETPOM, was established.

In fulfilling their mandate and commemoration with the United Nations Environment Programme World Environment Day, SETPOM has held a public lecture themed Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care to send a message to government at all levels, Nigerians and every human being on earth on equitable use of Earth's gifts.
