Nigeria: Ramadan - Governor Al-Makura Urges Muslims to Pray for Peace

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State has called on the Muslim community to use the holy month of Ramadan to re-dedicate themselves to God and imbibe the lessons of piety, obedience and sacrifice which the Ramadan symbolises and pray for peace in the country.

Al-Makura, who made this known in a statement signed by his media aide, Ahmed Tukur, implored Muslims to seek maximum benefits from the Ramadan period "by being helpful to all manner of people, and follow the true message of the religion as taught by the Holy Prophet".
