A CALL has been made to Tanzanians to have instant health checkups to their children after birth, to find out if they have sickle cell symptoms to ensure that they get a better treatment as soon as possible.
The remarks was made yesterday in Dar es Salaam by the Coordinator of Sickle cell New born Screening, Dr Deogratius Soka, during the introduction of the World Sickle Cell Day Celebration at the Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) in Dar es Salaam.
