Bamako — The arrest warrants issued against the officials of the Coordination of Azawad Movements (CMA) were lifted on the request of the Malian government, a few days before the signing by the political-military group of the peace and reconciliation agreement with Bamako, said Thursday corroborating sources.

The measure can be considered as a "sign of appeasement," a few days before the signing (on June 20) of the peace agreement by the rebels," said a governmental source, cited by the French news agency AFP.
