Whereas Malawian teachers keep complaining day in and out of delayed salaries and sometimes unpaid salaries, reports have revealed that the Australian company that was managing the Kayelekera uranium mine Paladin managed to dodge taxes in excess of $43 million (about K2 billion).
According to media reports which Malawi24 has seen, the 6 years that Paladin was in the Northern region getting uranium from Malawians while enjoying a tax holiday saw them get away with uranium deposits that were worth K2 billion in taxes.
