Ethiopia beat Kenya 2-0 in the first leg of 2016 CHAN preliminary round first leg clash on Sunday in Bahir Dar.

The Walias side scored the first goal through Aschalew Girma in the 17th minute. After the goal, the vising Harambee Stars lifted up their game deploying an attacking approach, forcing Ethiopia goalie, Tarike Getnet to make two spectacular saves to keep his side's lead intact.
