Algerian Scientists Try to Solve Universe's Mysteries - Cosmic Energetic Particles

Algiers — Trying to solve the Universe's mysteries like the cosmic energetic particles is the great challenge of a team of Algerian scientists. They will build with other scientists from 14 countries a giant telescope and install it on the International Space Station (ISS).

Jointly developed by Japanese researchers, initiators of the project, and others from 13 other countries, including Algeria, the project "JEM-EUSO" (Japanese Experiment Module-Extreme Universe Space Observatory Onboard) focuses on the building of a special space telescope: the study of extremely energetic cosmic ray particles by observing their entry into the atmosphere.
