Gambia: U.S.$15 Million Climate Change Project to Avert Food Insecurity Ratified

Members of the National Assembly Monday voted unanimously to ratify a financing agreement between the government of The Gambia and Islamic Development Bank aimed at building resilience to climate change and recurring food insecurity.

The amount, 10, 000, 000 Dinar, which is equivalent to US$15, 000, 000 is meant to build resilience to climate change to avert food insecurity in the country. The project is set to target rural poor to enhance their economic capacity.
