June 17, 2015 the date set by the International Telecommunication Union ITU for the entire broadcasting station in the world to migrate from analogue to digital transmission has come and gone, but Nigeria failed to meet the deadline.
The National Broadcasting Commission NBC, the agency of government saddled with the responsibility to midwife the migration from analogue to digital transmission has come out officially to say that Nigeria cannot meet the June 17 2015 digital switchover and that it may take additional 18 months before we MAY achieve the switchover.
