Algeria: Ten Smugglers of African Nationalities Arrested in Djanet

Algiers — Ten (10) smugglers of different African nationalities were arrested Sunday in Djanet by a detachment of the People's National Army (ANP), as part of border security and the fight against organized crime, the National Defence Ministry said Monday in a statement.

"As part of border security and the fight against organized crime, a detachment of the People's National Army under the operational sector of Djanet (4th military region) arrested on 28 June 2015, ten (10) smugglers of different African nationalities and seized one (01) all-terrain vehicle, ten (10) metal detectors, two (02) generators and two (02) mobile phones," added the same source.
