Nigeria: Traditional Ruler Seeks State, FG Intervention in Communal Clash

Lokoja — The traditional ruler of Ikpakpaala Community of Kogi, Onu of Ikpakpala, Chief Ismaila Omata, has called on Kogi State and the federal government to step in and curtail clashes between Ikpakpala and Onukpo communities and Etutekpe community in Dekina Local Government Area.

Chief Omata, who made the call yesterday after inspecting residential buildings, business premises and other property destroyed on Sunday night by youths suspected to be from Etutekpe community, said the clash was as a result dispute over ancestral land.
