Local authorities have begun the process to flush out vendors from central business districts (CBDs) in a bid to bring sanity to city centres.
The process follows a directive by government, through the Minister of Local Government, Ignatius Chombo, for the vendors to move out of CBDs whose streets have become overwhelmed by vendors who sell their wares not only on the pavements but also on motorways, greatly inconveniencing motorists, pedestrians and businesses.
