Nigeria: Gwagwalada Almajiri School Yet to Take Off

A school built to educate itinerant pupils (or almajirai) in Gwagwalada Area Council of Abuja is yet to take in its first students, five months after it was completed.

Procurement monitors from the Public and Private Development Centre (PPDC) have raised concerns about the school's remaining unopened despite a wide network of almajiri communities located near the school in Gwagwalada.
