Nigeria: Amnesty International Report - We Have Nothing to Hide, Says Army

Abuja — The military High Command on Wednesday said it had nothing to hide in respect of the Amnesty International (AI) report which indicted some serving and former military officers of violating human rights while battling insurgents in the North-east of the country.

Speaking in Abuja when he appeared before the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), the Chief of Army Administration, Major-General Adamu Baba Abubakar, stated that the Nigerian Army being a creation of the constitution, was a law abiding institution that valued and respected the rights of Nigerians.
