Ghana: Ministers Can't Act As MCEs - Says Ex-Nalag Prez

A former President of the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG), Mr. Kyei Baffour, has described as unconstitutional the decision of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) to allow regional ministers perform the duties of chief executives of the assemblies who had left office.

This is, because, there was no provision in the Local Government Act that provided room for ministers to act as chief executives of the various assemblies.
