US President Barack Obama joined active politics to push for racial equality, a letter he wrote 20 years ago published by PageSix.com shows.
The revelation comes in the wake of an online and broadcast media row created by Obama when he said "nigger" (a derogatory reference to black people that was frequently used by slavers in the US) during a radio show when explaining that historical racial discrimination had not been resolved.
