Guldo — An armed rebel movement claimed killing nine Sudanese soldiers in an attack on Friday, at the military base of Guldo in Central Darfur. The rebels say one of the killed is a lieutenant.
The Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdel Wahid El Nur (SLM-AW), attacked the Guldo military garrison, at the outskirts of East Jebel Marra, and managed to seize ammunition and weapons. Several Sudanese soldiers were wounded, military spokesman Mustafa Tambour claimed, and two Land Cruisers were destroyed.
