Sudan: Chol Mowen Appreciates Stance of South Sudan Parliament On Abyei Belonging to Khartoum

Khartoum — The Secretary of the Political Mobilization Secretariat of Abyei Area at the National Congress, Chol Mowen, has appreciated the stance of South Sudan Parliament which has affirmed the affiliation of Abyei area to the Republic of Sudan, the non-intervention in Abyei issues and the respect to the agreements that were signed between Sudan and South Sudan.

In a statement to SUNA, Mowen said that the Sudanese side is still abiding by the agreement which was signed on June 20, 2011 and the Protocol on Abyei, hoping that the other party will be committed to these agreements.
