In the last few weeks, Boko Haram fighters have launched a series of suicide attacks on towns in the North East. The latest wave of violence threatens to dampen the morale of Nigerians who were preparing for a life after the dreaded terrorists following victories by our armed forces before the last general election.
In the midst of the chaos, a somewhat cheering news appeared in the papers last Wednesday. It came from the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) about the de-radicalisation of 22 women and girls who were hitherto recruited as suicide bombers by Boko Haram.
