Kenyan transporters have raised alarm over security threats in South Sudan, saying their trucks were being targeted by militias and have asked the government to provide security for cargo being transported to the country.
On Sunday morning, two trucks belonging to Transpares Kenya Limited, a Mombasa-based transporter, were attacked and set ablaze at the Nimule customs parking area as they awaited clearance at the border.
