Algeria: Rally in Algiers to Denounce Unrest in Ghardaia

Algiers — Dozens of people from the Mozabite community gathered Wednesday in Algiers for several hours to denounce acts of violence committed in Ghardaia and call for the return of peace and security in the region.

Omar Baba, met in the rally held in front of the Tahar Djaout House of the Press, told APS that this action is intended to express all Ghardaia citizens' "rejection" of the violence and destruction perpetrated by bands from the region and from other regions of the country.
