Africa: UNDP Continues Ebola Recovery Work After Pledges Made At International Conference

Following the encouraging pledges made by the international community at Friday's International Ebola Recovery Conference to support Ebola-affected countries, UNDP will continue its work to combat the virus in a multitude of ways.

Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, who convened the Conference, called on member States and civil society to "stay the course" and help the Ebola-affected countries get to zero, stay at zero and rebuild. In response, participating delegations pledged more than $3 billion in new contributions, bringing the total pledged to date to more than $5 billion.
