Uganda: 24 Districts Fail to Send Students to Makerere

The recently released Makerere University Private Admissions list has revealed that out of the 136 districts in Uganda, 24 districts failed to send a single student to the University. 17002 students were admitted for the new academic year that starts on August 15th. Charles Ssentongo, the Deputy Academic Registrar in charge of Undergraduate admissions revealed that those wishing to pick their admission letters will be required to pay 60 percent of tuition and functional fees. He also informed successful applicants that they will begin picking their letters on July 22nd from the respective colleges.
