Malawi: Govt Hires British Lawyers for Cashgate

Following an increased outburst in Cashgate convict and suspect, the Malawi Government has hired two former crown prosecutors from the United Kingdom (UK) to provide technical expertise in dealing with issues arising from the infamous Cashgate scandal.

This has come as response the Malawi Government made to the UK's Department for International Development (DfID) in addressing some of the challenges arising out of the Cashgate affair. Confirming the development, British High Commissioner Michael Nevin said UK will continue to provide technical assistance to address the challenges arising from Cashgate.
