Liberia: Ebola Virus Outbreak Fighters Receive Golden Image Award

Monrovia — President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and several other Liberians that played actively roles in the fight against the Ebola virus in Liberia received the Golden Image Award, hosted by the Liberia Crusaders for Peace (LCP). The Golden Image Award is an annual event that recognizes individuals who have contributed immensely to the Liberian society. The award is in two phases, the international personnel phase and the local personnel phase.

This year's event was purely dedicated to the fight against the Ebola virus from Liberia, thus recognizing and honoring the heroes and the heroines that fought against the Ebola virus in Liberia. President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Deputy Health Minister Tolbert Nyenswah, the Liberia Red Cross Society, Representative Saah Joseph the Town Chief of Jenewonde in Grand Cape Mount County, Jebbeh Sannor, the Nimba County Ebola Task force among many other Liberians received the Golden image Award.
