Luanda — The number of Angolan teams in the competition under the aegis of the Confederation of the African Football (CAF) has been reduced from four to two in the next two years, due to the poor results of national clubs in the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup.
Angola is outside the range of the 12 countries entitled to have two teams for each competition, meaning that only to the national champion and the winner of the cup will be able to participate in the qualifiers for the Champions League group stage and Confederation Cup, according to a statement from CAF that reached Angop on Tuesday.
