Nigeria: The August Visitor

The visit by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesome Wike to the office of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mahmud Mohammed, is both ill-timed and ill-advised.

An adage in Yoruba contends that it is the way of life of a child that makes him/her seek after charm (black assurance or juju as the case may be) against attacks. The Yoruba as a people believe that if such a child treads in the right path, he would not have the need to fear for unintended attacks and of course, go about his business without fears, intimidations or harassment.
