London — The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has recommended that the world's first vaccine against malaria should be licenced for use in young children in African.
The RTS,S vaccine has been developed by the pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). It is designed for use outside of the European Union but must pass the same standards as if it was intended for use in Europe.
