Malawi: Tobacco Farmer Arrested for Attempting to Swindle Colleagues

Rumphi — Rumphi Police Thursday arrested a tobacco farmer for attempting to swindle fellow club members by making false claims that the money had been stolen by armed robbers when in real sense, he had buried it in the pigsty.

Head of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at Rumphi Police, Inspector Hunderer Moyo, confirmed the development and managed to recover the money buried in the pigsty amounting to MK7.5 million.
