Kenya: European Medicines Agency Approves First Malaria Vaccine

After nearly 30 years of development and testing, the world's first malaria vaccine has been approved by European drug regulators.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA), while giving the green light to the vaccine called RTS,S or Mosquirix, recommended it should be licensed for use in babies in Africa who are at risk of the mosquito-borne disease.
