Gambia: GSSS Student Dies in Fatal Car Accident Several People Sustain Injuries

One Ousman Hydara, a grade 11 student at The Gambia Senior Secondary School (GSSS) on Saturday met his untimely death in what could have been one of the worst automobile accidents in Kafuta for several years.

The incident happened on Saturday between 7:00 to 8:00 pm when a speedy BMW car with registration number BJL 4169H he was travelling on alongside three others, ran into a group of worshipers, who congregated in a mosque situated along the road for the Maghreb prayer. The deceased according to eyewitnesses, was sitting at the back seat of the car when the incident occurred. It happened at a time when it was raining and the car was heading to the Fonis when the driver lost control of the steering wheel.
