Namibia: Man Denies Okombahe Knife Murder

A MAN accused of having stabbed his girlfriend to death at Okombahe in the Erongo region in October 2012 pleaded not guilty to a murder charge in the Windhoek High Court yesterday.

Although the accused man, Trougoth Nanub (30), did not give any plea explanation to the court after telling Judge Alfred Siboleka that he was denying guilt on a charge of murder, it soon emerged during defence lawyer Milton Engelbrecht's cross-examination of the prosecution's witnesses that Nanub is denying that he stabbed the late Cheroline Dausas as alleged by the state.
