Algeria: Ending Fuel Subsidy Is Not On Agenda

Algiers — The government is not considering, at present, to end or revise its policy of fuel subsidy, but it relies on the involvement of consumers in preserving this energy product, affirmed Tuesday Minister of Finance Abderrahmane Benkhalfa in an interview with APS.

"For the moment, ending fuel subsidy is not on the agenda," stressed the minister, adding that despite the drop in oil prices, Algeria has the means to deal with this situation.
