Ethiopia: CBE to Caliber the Banking System With Oracle Solution

The staterun Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) is set to deploy a new software system which is looking to automate the overall enterprise activities via Oracle- generated solutions software, The Reporter learnt.

Following agreements inked between Tech Mahindra and CBE, the oracle made Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software will be deployed across the Bank's entire infrastructure, Girmachew Admasse, Fairfax Technologies general manager- a local representative of Tech Mahindra-told The Reporter. The new software will be installed and launched early in August and is expected to be fully operational within 10 months, both sides confirmed.
