Kenya: Be Alert to Threats Facing Religious Life, Bishop Tells Nuns

Bishop Joseph Obanyi Sagwe of the Catholic Diocese of Kakamega has challenged consecrated women to be alert to the threats to religious and Christian life being brought about by modern means of communication and technology.

The bishop, who is also the chairman of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops' (KCCB) Commission for Social Communications, urged the sisters to "reawaken their faith and religious commitment in the midst of the myriad of challenges of the contemporary times so that the world conforms to Christ."
