Sudan: Soldier Shot Attempting to Stop Central Darfur Rape

Bindisi — A soldier of the Sudanese army was wounded in a gunfight with two policemen when he attempted to stop the rape of a girl in Bindisi, Central Darfur, on Sunday evening.

A neighbour reported to Radio Dabanga that "two policemen wearing official police uniforms" stormed a house of a woman and her 16-year-old daughter in the town's Northern District.
