Malawi: Queens Fail to Impress On World Rankings

The Malawi netball team, the Queens, are now one step down on the latest rankings by the International Netball Association (INA) released on Monday.

The Queens who were at position five internationally, have been overtaken by South Africa and they have now been moved one step down from position five to position six.

According to David Kendix who compiled the new rankings for INA, the teams were rated considering results of games played up to July 28.

Australia is on position one seconded by New Zealand and England is on position three while Jamaica comes fourth, in results Malawi24 has seen.

South Africa has also been named the best netball team in Africa and the Queens have come after them.

The fall of the Queens on the international ranking could be as a result of the recent loss to South Africa in the Diamond Challenge cup as they finished as runners up.
