Nigeria: Meningitis Epidemic Looms Over Vaccine Shortage

Lagos — There is palpable fear among health officials in the country following an alert on the possibility of a meningitis epidemic.

The fear is coming on the heels that neighbouring country Niger, has reported an increase in the number of people killed by the disease which first broke out in January and the reported news of shortage of Meninigitis vaccine in Nigeria.
