Liberia: Exorbitant - Weah Differs With Senate Ok of U.S.$50 Passport Fee

Monrovia — The joint Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Judiciary and Transport has recommended to the plenary of the Senate to accept the US$50.00 fees charged for Passport by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs but Montserrado County Senator George Weah differs with the recommendation.

The joint committee was given the mandate by the plenary of the Senate to review the passport price based on a communication written by Senator Marshall Dennis (CDC-Grand Gedeh County) informing the plenary of that body that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has exorbitantly increased the price of passport from US$23.00 to US$50.00.
