To resolve conflicts related to sharing of water resources, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (Igad) has trained regional government and civil society officials in International Water Law (ILW).
Speaking at the opening of the three-day training at Imperial Botanical Beach Resort Hotel in Entebbe last week, Makerere University law professor Emmanuel Kasimbazi said the training would equip participants with skills to negotiate for their respective nations better, using available international treaties.
