Rwanda: Century Announces Name Change to FirstContinent

press release

Earlier this month, Century Private Investments and its parent company Century Capital Holding (together "Century Private" or "Century") transformed their business brand and corporate structure to an investment holding company that will focus on building core platform companies in investment banking, asset management, real estates, and education in Africa.

The company will continue to manage a portfolio of non core companies in various parts of the continent with an objective to build additional industrial focus.

As part of the transformation and to reflect the new corporate identity, the company is thrilled to announce its rebranding from Century to FirstContinent Group Ltd ("FirstContinent"). Nima Yussuf, a partner and senior representative of the group who previously worked for Goldmans Sachs in London, stated that "FirstContinent is a direct reference to the African Continent and the company's commitment to being a vehicule for transformative development". Africa has been the core and sole focus of the company since it was founded in early 2012. FirstContinent will continue to be a long-term investor in Africa's strategic sectors; helping build a better Africa with the valuable trust of first class clients and investors.

In addition, the firm attracted new executive talent, new investors and retired members of the founding team to non-executive roles. We invite you to visit our new website at www.firstcontinentgroup.com to find out more about FirstContinent.
