Nigeria: UNDP Trains 250 Boko Haram Victims

Jos — About 250 victims of Boko Haram from the North-eastern part of the country are currently undergoing training at the Citizenship and Leadership Training Institute in Shere hill, Jos Plateau State.

Matthew Alao, a Conflict Prevention and Peace Building Analyst with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) yesterday told journalists that after screening and identifying 500 victims of insurgency in the North-east, 250 of them were selected for the first phase and are undergoing training with the hope that they will be empowered and reintegrated into the society.
