Ugandan Traders in S. Sudan Seek Compensation

Gulu — Ugandan traders who lost merchandise when South Sudan soldiers raided their shops in Owiny Kibul and Magwi County in Eastern Equatorial State in February, have appealed to the Uganda government to help them get compensated from President Salva Kiir's government.

Thirteen traders from Acholi sub-region in northern Uganda said they lost merchandise and property worth Shs1.8 billion after their shops were burnt by SPLA soldiers under the Tiger Division at Owiny Kibul training centre.
