Ethiopian Airlines Chalked up U.S.$2.39 Billion in Revenues This Fiscal Year

The Ethiopian Airlines, 'the sixth among the 22 most dependable airlines in the world', 'Airline of the year award winner', 'ATW best regional Airline in the world' and owner of many other awards and tags in this year only, announced that it 'exceeded its revenue and profit targets for the fiscal year'.

According to Ato Tewolde Gebre-Mariam, CEO of the Airlines, the Airline had planned for a revenue of 43 billion birr by 2015, but in the last fiscal year, the figure stood at about 49.4 billion birr . While the IATA (the International Air Transport Industry) is anticipating that the other African Airlines might barely collect a $100million profit collectively Ethiopian Airlines announced a profit of $175 million profit at the fiscal year of 2014/2015.
