Kenya: Inadequate Space Hurts Growth of Nandi County

Shortage of housing units in Kapsabet town due to slow growth in property development is hurting Nandi county's economic expansion.

Deputy Governor Dominic Biwott said the town, which is the county's commercial and administrative centre, is facing an acute shortage of decent residential houses, office space and spacious buildings. This, he said, has slowed investments in key growth sectors including financial services and education where universities are increasingly looking for expansion opportunities.
