Liberia: Chambers Wants Concessions Audited

Maryland lawmaker Representative Bhofal Chambers has called for all concessions and relevant government functionaries to be audited so that the Legislature can fix more attention for the benefit of the country.

An international audit signed by the firm Moore Stevens in 2013 found that nearly all of the concessions signed by the government did not meet international standards. And Representative Chambers listed 23 concessioners and government ministries and agencies to be audited, which, according to him, will shed light on why concessions signed by the government have "little visible impact.
