Angola Lose Title but Retain Hegemony of African Basketball

Luanda — The minister of Youth and Sports, Gonçalves Muandumba, said Friday in Luanda that Angola despite having lost the title to Nigeria, after being defeated in the final of Afrobasket2015, by 65-74, still maintain the hegemony of the sports on the continent.

The official was speaking to Angop at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, shortly before leaving for Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, where he will participate in the Meeting of Ministers for Sports in Africa as well as watching the opening ceremony of the 11th African Games set for 4-19 September in Brazzaville.
