Nigeria: Okezie Ikpeazu - Leading the Reinvention of Abia

The Abia State governor has taken steps to break extraordinarily difficult barriers to development.

Recently Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State clocked 100 days in office. As is traditional with political timelines like this, initial records of stewardship are being taken. Many believe such records, at least, help to know where the administration is headed. It is a good reminder that even in the midst of the generally pessimistic view of government, there are useful signposts to positive change that can be the basis of hope and encouragement for the government and the people. Ikpeazu has erected a fairly large number of these encouraging signposts in the last three months.
